  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheese blend (mozzarella and cheddar)
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced olives (black or green)
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Boil the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat, then add diced onions and bell peppers, sautéing until tender.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked pasta, meat mixture, pizza sauce, half of the cheese blend, olives, and pepperoni slices.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Top with the remaining cheese blend.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
