Description

Experience the warm embrace of homemade bone broth, rich in flavor and nutrients, perfect for sipping or enhancing your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef bones (marrow or knuckle)
  • 2 medium onions, quartered
  • 3 large carrots, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 12 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Rinse the beef bones under cold water to remove impurities. Chop the onions, carrots, and celery into large pieces.
  2. Roast the Bones (Optional but Recommended): Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bones on a baking sheet and roast for about 30 minutes until browned for deeper flavor.
  3. Load Your Instant Pot: Transfer the roasted bones to the Instant Pot. Add chopped vegetables and crushed garlic. Pour in apple cider vinegar and fill with filtered water until all ingredients are submerged.
  4. Set It and Forget It: Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 120 minutes. Allow natural pressure release afterward.
  5. Strain Your Broth: Once cooled, strain out solid ingredients using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth. Discard vegetable scraps.
  6. Store Your Liquid Gold: Let broth cool completely before transferring to jars or freezer-safe containers. Store in the fridge for up to five days or freeze for future use.
