Description

Tater Tot Hot Dish is a comforting casserole featuring crispy tater tots, seasoned ground beef, and creamy soup, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft, approximately 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture with cream of mushroom soup. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Pour the meat mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread it evenly. Top generously with frozen tater tots.
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until melted.
  7. Transfer to plates and enjoy!
