- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let sit for about five minutes until foamy.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Add olive oil and garlic powder to the yeast mixture once frothy. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until a dough forms.
- Transfer dough onto a floured surface and knead for about eight minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm area for about one hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle.
- Evenly sprinkle dried oregano and basil over the surface, then layer shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Starting from one edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log shape. Pinch seams closed and twist gently to create swirls.
- Place loaf into a greased loaf pan. Cover with a towel and let rise for another thirty minutes while preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for about thirty-five minutes or until golden brown on top. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
