Description

Experience the perfect balance of sweet and tangy with pomegranate glazed chicken thighs. This dish is easy to prepare, making it a stunning centerpiece for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Garnish: 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the Glaze: In a bowl, whisk together pomegranate juice, honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce until well combined.
  4. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and sear until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Flip to sear the other side.
  5. Add the Glaze: Pour half of the glaze over the seared chicken thighs, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake: Transfer the skillet to your preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C). Baste with remaining glaze halfway through cooking.
  7. Serve: Once cooked, transfer chicken to plates and drizzle with any remaining glaze. Garnish with pomegranate seeds before serving.
