Description

Delight in this creamy Holiday Hummus Appetizer, featuring roasted garlic and tahini. Perfect for any gathering, it’s a flavorful dip that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 cloves garlic, roasted
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Prep Your Ingredients: Gather all ingredients. Rinse chickpeas under cold water to remove excess sodium.
  2. 2. Roast the Garlic: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Wrap whole garlic cloves in aluminum foil with a drizzle of olive oil and roast for about 20 minutes until golden and soft.
  3. 3. Blend It Up: In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, roasted garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pulse until smooth.
  4. 4. Adjust Consistency: With the processor running, slowly drizzle in olive oil while adding water one tablespoon at a time until reaching desired creaminess.
  5. 5. Taste Test: Scoop out a spoonful and adjust seasoning or lemon juice as needed for flavor balance.
  6. 6. Serve & Enjoy: Transfer hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with paprika or parsley. Serve with fresh vegetables or pita chips.
