Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk with granulated sugar and active dry yeast. Let sit for about five minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture along with melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about one hour.
- After rising, punch down the dough gently and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and ground cinnamon before rolling it up tightly.
- Transfer the rolled dough to an oiled baking pan and press down gently to flatten slightly. Allow it to rise again while preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- For icing, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth; drizzle over warm bread after baking. Slice into squares and serve.
