Description

Churro Saltine Toffee is a deliciously crunchy dessert that combines sweet and salty flavors, all topped with cinnamon sugar and chocolate. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 package (16 oz) Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place Saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine unsalted butter and light brown sugar. Stir until bubbling, then let it boil for about three minutes while stirring constantly.
  4. Carefully pour the bubbling toffee mixture over the arranged Saltine crackers, ensuring each cracker is well-coated.
  5. Bake for about five minutes until the edges are bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the hot toffee, followed by semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.
