Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about half an inch thick.
- Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough. Drizzle peppermint extract across the cheese, being cautious not to overdo it.
- In a bowl, mix red food coloring with a few tablespoons of water, then brush it onto one half of the dough rectangle.
- Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it in half lengthwise to reveal the layers. Twist the two halves together gently to form a candy cane shape.
- Place your twisted dough on the prepared baking sheet, brush with egg wash for a golden finish, and bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed up and golden brown.
