Instructions
- For the Crust: In a large bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water until dough forms.
- Divide dough in half, shape into discs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- For the Filling: In a bowl, toss sliced pears with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well coated.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- To Assemble: Roll out one dough disc on a floured surface to fit your pie plate.
- Place rolled dough into the pie plate and pour in the pear mixture.
- Roll out the second dough disc for the top crust or create a lattice design.
- Seal edges by crimping or pressing with a fork.
- To Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes until the crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
- Let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
