Description

Indulge in these delightful old-fashioned apple dumplings, featuring tender apples wrapped in flaky dough and drizzled with a sweet cinnamon syrup. Perfect for cozy gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Peel and core the apples, then cut each into quarters.
  3. Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Wrap each apple quarter snugly in one triangle of dough.
  4. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  5. Place each wrapped apple in the greased baking dish. Pour the sugar mixture over them and add water around the dumplings.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Drizzle any remaining syrup over the dumplings before serving warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
