Description

Indulge in the rich flavors of our Truffle & Mushroom Tart, where earthy mushrooms meet fragrant truffle oil in a flaky, buttery crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold)
  • 24 tbsp ice-cold water
  • 2 cups mixed fresh mushrooms (cremini and shiitake)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp truffle oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour and cold unsalted butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add ice-cold water until the dough comes together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. While the dough chills, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sauté chopped mushrooms until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream. Stir in sautéed mushrooms and truffle oil.
  7. Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  8. Transfer to a tart pan and trim excess dough.
  9. Pour mushroom mixture into the crust, filling generously.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
